This week we are enjoying Half Term in Leicestershire..... yippee, so an outing to our most favourite watering hole was in need, indeedy..... Hot choccies, whipped cream and just look at those flakes on top. Yummy......
accompanied by some sweet treats, Valentine cupcakes......
Pink ones for the girls,
also chocolate cake, which was quickly disappearing before my eyes as I 1st discovered my camera had decided to leave its sd card at home AGAIN.... and then I realised my new phone has a decent camera !!! and it was charged........
I am really pleased with my new phone, and how good the photos and effects are, I'm pleased because it also tells me if I have a new email, so I'm spending much less time on my computer, and therefore getting more work done, as I done get sucked into spending hours stuck in front of the screen, discovering all sorts of interesting, exciting and time wasting things to read....
This new brooch was also taken with my new phone, it has an amazing close up quality....
I love this photo Hermione took of me, in B/W dressed in my winter wooly, cutting fabric on the floor, I often work on the floor, I'm quite happy down there, does anyone else like working on the floor? My OH never does, and never has, he looks so uncomfortable....
This is P.J on her 22nd birthday, blowing out her coloured flame candles, they were very pretty,
I made the cake, but my younger two decorated it.... chocolate ganache, with 3 or 4 different glitters, it was gorgeous.
Hermione being sensible with the birthday balloons
With half term upon us, and projects handed in for assessment, time to do something different, like baking :)
there isn't AS in food tech at her school, despite it being the only one in the area!!! but this does mean it's something she can enjoy doing at home. This is the Mary Berry Victoria sandwich with fresh cream and jam.
She also made these delicious cheesy rolls for tea one night,
Tonight, Jethro made 100's of pancakes, there were 7 of us here for tea tonight!!!!!!! He did a fantastic job,
They were going to have pancakes for breakfast, somehow though, with it being half term, they got up too late for this!!!
More new work, a heart pom pom mobile, with cotton lace
and a felt love and heart mobile with white lace
I am trying to load more photos and blogger is playing up again, and I'm too tired to argue with it, I may continue tomorrow....

Oh glad its not just me who cuts fabric on the floor! Even when I worked in a craft shop I used to cut the rolls of Felt and Hessian on the floor. (We only had a small counter). It is so much easier!
ReplyDeleteThe little house brooch looks so pretty.
The cakes look absolutely yummy, and is there a recipe for the rolls?

Hi Julie, I've emailed you the recipe :)
DeleteMmm, that's one hellova hot chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI love your new brooch, the colours are gorgeous.
Yes I cut out on the floor too, my table's not big enough (or that could be 'tidy' enough) to spread fabric out!
Hi Sue, I tried to reply to your comment on my blog, and then realised you're a no-reply blogger! Hello also from the Charnwood area, love all of the foodie pics, although it did make me hungry, and lunch is a long way off. : ) When I get the chance i'll have a look through your blog in more detail, it looks like fun! : )
