I Love Magazines

Good Morning everyone, I know I've been away a while But I have my excuses! Firstly, work, yes work in January.... not just any old work, but work to deadlines and the like. I'm never at my best at getting restarted after the Christmas break, having worked so hard in the run up to it, however this year, I have had to crank up a notch or two, pull out all the stops, and simply work hard. Something I'm not that good at, simply because I find my work such a pleasure to do without any pressures.....
Follow this with a bout of illness, again, something I'm not particularly good at, The last time was about 10 years ago when
we had just moved to our present home..... Hermione also succumbed this time, poor thing, Since year two, aged 6, until year 12, aged 16 she hadn't missed a day from school!!!
These are all February editions, so should still be in the shops, (I did receive them a while back now) The 1st one is House Beautiful, which felt like it was about refreshing your home without too much effort, that is only changing one or two items can have a huge impact (very true!) I have picked my favourite pages/items. I love the look of those towels, and there from Next..... somewhere I haven't been in for a long, long time. then the page on typography, always a subject close to my heart.... a page on baking equipment and finally a few crafty articles.
Next up is delicious magazine, I love the idea of making these valentine biscuits, I often make heart shaped biscuits for my lovely family :)
also, any magazine with chocolate recipes in has to be worth getting!!!
and there are several in this months edition....

and finally, I may try this delicious looking pizza!

The last, and by no means the least, is the House and Garden magazine, which is probably the one I enjoyed the most......Lovely photography, nice ideas, super colour combinations.

I hope it's not too long before I'm back again! Meanwhile, thank you for all your lovely comments, and if I haven't commented for a while, I have been reading your lovely blogs on google reader, it's quicker, but you can't comment...
See you soon,
Sue Xxx
(These magazines were all sent to me by http://www.letssubscribe.com/)

  1. Hi Sue
Sorry to hear you have been under the weather. We have a dose going round here at the mo, made so much worse when the weather is pants too. Hope you are feeling better now. I too love magazines. How brilliant to be asked to review some. My kind of heaven. X

  3. Great post, Sue, and your comments are probably the same as I would have made too. I buy far fewer mags these days as I'm often disappointed with them, but the ones you have reviewed are pretty consistent.

Hope you are getting towards a full recovery and managing your work deadlines...not a nice thing to have to be doing when under the weather...literally and figuratively!
