As you know I recently ran out of space when uploading pictures, so my son read this page.

It says that unless you have Google+ any images larger than 800 pixels tall or wide, will count towards your limit in Picasa Web Albums. If you sign up for Google+ the picture size limit will be increased to 2048 pixels on the longest side.
Google is pushing Google+ now because they want to learn more information about you, but if you don't use it, you don't actually need to fill in much information!

I've just found out how much space I have - I've used just 14% of my allowance - not bad for 2 1/2 years of blogging. Just checked the size of my pics - 640x480 pixels. Only the mosaics are larger so hopefully I won't run out of space for a long time.
